i am fairly experienced in dealing with macs

here is the situation
my friend was trying to install leopard but his cd drive is messed up

so i took his copy of leopard and imaged into an iso. but now i need a way to have the iso image on a removable source. Hence my ipod touch. 16g

what i was thinking is completely erase all functions, music, videos, the whole firware and everything and making it into a blank drive. i know how to do that.

HERE IS THE QUESTION:
how do i reformat a completely blank ipod touch back to normal firmware version 1.1.2

if you could help me out with this, cuz i really dont want to brick my ipod touch

thanks for any helpful responses

MacBook 13" 2.0 Ghz, 1g memory, 80g hard drive.
Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.1

i would not do that.

but if you did you would not turn it into a brike.

must be a better way to help your friend.

like maybe a removable dvd drive.
