Co-worker just bought a used iphone from someone locally and wants to sync with his itunes on his PC. The iphone came with a bunch of apps installed, etc.

If he syncs to his PC, will he lose those apps? If so, is there a way he can back them up before syncing? Or is that a "piracy" issue?

Lastly - the battery doesn't seem to last through the day.. What is his best option for getting the battery replaced? Apple? Anyone know what it generally costs?

Well, if they are paid apps yes, it's a "piracy" issue. :) If they are free apps, just keep a list and redownload them. :)

As for your battery questions, use this link to tweek settings, etc to enable longer life:

Use this one if you want the battery replaced:
