Questions that Siri should be able to answer, but can't

Communication with Siri is a bit forced and not really natural like they show in the commercials.

I kind of wanted it to be more like Rosie from the Jetsons. You know it's a robot, but it's a part of everyday life, you're comfortable with it.

When people talk to Siri, they begin to sound like robots themselves.

What happened today?

What's news to some is gossip to others, might want to specify. Not to mention, most news sources are garbage, and what news are we talking about? Your local news? National News? World news? Having it answer such a "simple" question isn't always so simple.

"what happened today?" Past tense, shouldn't you already know what happened? Or are we talking about news you missed?

Yes but for some reason, humans don't have a problem answering these questions.

Of course Siri could come back with, "Where would you like your news stories from?"
Or something like that.

What happened today you would still be talking about news. News you missed. It could pull the news stories that occurred on that day.

It would really be something if you've could analyize the stories you you could ask her in greater detail.

I asked it what happened at the end of a movie and it told me, but from a web source. It was still pretty neat though.

I wanted Siri to order fast food for me, so here I am hanging my iPhone out of the window at McDonald's.

There's so many mistakes in what I just wrote. Autocorrect is just getting worse.

Anyway, no not a girlfriend. I could definately make use of Siri.

Do you want Siri to actually be self aware or just give the impression that it is? For something to be totally self aware is pretty major. Self awareness is a massively complex process.

I think Siri is a pretty good start, but until we undstand completely what self awareness and consciousness is in humans and animals then it's not going to happen. All we can hope for is the illusion of it.

That's true. We barely understand enough about the human brain much less how to replicate it into a machine.

Siri 2.0 would be like- major.

SIRI: Darn right I am. People like you that ask dumb question need to be recorded.

SIRI: The one you are in that gave you the wrong education in common sense

SIRI: Better looking than you, and I'm just a voice on a computer
