1: Can you still get weather updates and things like that WITHOUT getting the iphone plan ( I have a data AND internet plan, and I want to use the hack to keep my current plan [when the hack comes out for 3G])

2: Can the new iPhone support more file types? Like I would rather use AVI. I heard it did have more capabilities or something. Or it was trying to work with a VLC phone version

GPS is not as bad as thought, as you can see its not a wide radius!

3: Oh, and my sister has a 3G sim card for her razor and we did not get charged for that, If I get my hands on an unlocked 3G iPhone, can I use a 3G sim card and get it for the same price?

1) No, iPhones need data plans to get any kind of information that includes DATA such as the weather app.

2) No, standard file types

3) 3G is hardware not software or a SIM card.

4) Search bro, its your friend

^^ Beat me to it...

1) I don't understand what you mean. Data and internet mean the same thing. It does not look like you can get the new phone without a data plan.
2) At this point, no. Who knows with it open for 3rd part dev though.
2a) GPS is zero radius. What you see in the picture is the flashing beacon to make it clearer where you are. It should be as accurate as any other GPS...that is within about 10ft.
3) I doubt it.

Yea and alot were saying it was NOT good. I am really happy you posted that! because I think the GPS will be freakin amazing! My dad is getting a new plan (Cingular) and so I am hoping he will get an iPhone so I can get one....

If we have 3 iPhones on our plan, do we have to pay $30 extra for all of them or $30 extra for each phone (hence $90 for 3 people to own an iPhone)
