Quick advice- iPhone 2G using tmobile

So. I gave my sister my original iPhone. She was tired of her BB pearl. So I unlocked it an gave it to her. But she can't use the net.
I told her to get the BB data plan. She has it. But still no net on the iPhone. Any advice guys an gals

Have you changed the APN settings to match the ones t-mobile uses?

Did you setup the cellular data network?

T-Mobile
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: (leave empty)
Password: (leave empty)

I've also heard of epc.tmobile.com and internet2.voicestream.com working for APN.

Hmmm never thought about that. Makes sense. I'll try that an see how It goes
