Quick ATV Question Regarding USB

Does the USB port output the audio signal? I'm wondering if I can use it to input the audio signal into an external DAC.

It's officially 'for service only', but if you can run a Linux patchstick, anything's possible I'd guess. No such solution I know of currently though.

Thanks, that explains why I'm not getting any sound out of it. I wanted to make sure my new DAC is not the issue.
