This is probably a dumb question but I've never really played around with DVI ports before so please forgive me.

I have a Geforce Ti4600 video card in a Quicksilver and I want to out put the display to HDMI on a TV.

I realize the picture will not be great but that's irrelevant now. My question is, what kind of DVI to HDMI adapter do I need?

I seen some that say 24 + 1 pin and others that say 24+5 pin. I think I need the 24+5 one but I'm not sure?

My cards DVI has 24 + 5 pins but do I need to get that or will a 24+1 work? It's just that the 24+5 ones I'm finding are not quite what I'm looking for and they seem harder to find but there are tons of 24+1 adapters.

Thanks

The +1 or +5 pins on the end are simply for audio, 1 pin is a cable that does not carry audio, 5 pin cables will carry audio. You can use either cable depending on what the source is.

Edit: why the downvotes?

OK that makes sense, but will this video card put out audio? It would be nice to have the audio through hdmi so I don't have to run a separate cord for audio, but will it even work?
