Hello!!

I am using Excel for Mac 2011 (v.14.1.3)..

I haven't used Excel in a while, but used to use it A LOT back in my school days (over 10 years ago now ha ha!).. I remember that back then (on Windows Excel), that "Auto-Complete" would populate *WITHIN* the cell, as opposed to drop-down menu-style...

The Auto-Complete *WITHIN* the cells would actually be much more efficient for the type of data entry I'm doing, as opposed to the drop-down method..

Does anybody know how to change this or if this is even possible now? Thanks!!

I understand your question. I use Office 2010 (Windows) at work and it fills autocompletes in-line as you desire. I can't make my Mac Office 2011 do the same. I too get the little menu and have to hit the down arrow (a needless extra step). I'm interested if anyone else has a solution!
