QUICK, HELP! Need to create a book using what OS X software???

Hey all,

I need to create a program for an event, in the form of a book, and I need some OS X software to help me! This will be sent to a printer, but since previous years' are crap on quality I'm trying to avoid laborioius use of Illustrator.

Can anyone come to my rescue in the next hour???

Download a trial of iWork and use Pages? From what I understand that is the kind of thing Pages was designed for, haven't had much of a chance to use it myself yet though.
