Quick ibook question

Anyone know if the later G3 models (700, 800) run without the battery attached?

they should if the power cable is plugged in.

I don't have one, so i am not 100% sure, but i'll go with a good 95% chance that they do.

Just tried it [and dropped the battery on my foot in the process] and it works.

Sorry for not coming back to this thread. The project is on hold for a bit (some laser welding is required on a broken part). I promise to update the thread when it's done, though. 😉
