ill keep this short.

if i were to buy a newish wired keyboard, would i be able to use those keys to replace the keys that are currently in my late 07 model macbook? or are they of different design?

The keys in the wired aluminium keyboard look the same but the scissor mechanism is different and no, sorry they won't fit.....

Surely it's cheaper to get your Macbook keyboard replaced than to buy a new Keyboard simply for spare parts?

I checked out ebay. A replacement topcase would be $60, and individual replacement keys seem to range between $4-10... per key.
