I have had to order a Windows 7 machine for some econometrics software that only works on Windows. I already had MS Office with VMWare Fusion (for the equation editor), so when the "ultrabook" arrives I would like to sync my iCloud calendars, contacts and email to Outlook, so I have it all in one place. I know I can just access all that using iCloud in Safari, but I will also be integrating some other email accounts (gmail, hotmail) into Outlook.

So, the question is: if I have a clean install of Outlook onto a brand new PC, may I assume that once I turn on iCloud in the iCloud control panel, that Outlook will import everything from iCloud and that there ought to be no problems thereafter?

I use about 7 different colour-coded calendars in iCloud, for different workplaces and my wife's calendars. Will these import as separate calendars into the iCloud calendar (I know not to use the Outlook default calendar)?

Since 2009 I have been completely Mac, so I won't be importing anything PC into iCloud, just the other way, although I would like the option to set new appointments in Outlook. Would it be easier - and safer - to make new appointments in iCloud on Safari for Windows, rather than relying on Outlook to upload them to iCloud, or does that work easily from Outlook?

I would be most grateful for any reassurance or experience anyone may be able to offer.
