Hi, theres a 3gig printers folder in library - printers,

is it safe to delete to free up a bit of space?

My understanding is that those are the printer drivers for all the printers that you may possibly ever connect a Mac too. If we are talking about the same folder, then you should see lots of sub-folders inside that have printer company names. I believe its safe to delete all those sub-folders - except - for the printer you are actually using.

There is also a free download called Monolingual (Get it, among other places, at MacUpdate). It will remove a bunch of unneeded printer drivers, language files, etc to free up gobs of space. I've used it, and haven't found any issues.

cool, thanks for the info, monolingual seems only for uninstalling language services etc.

i will delete whats inside the printers folder,
