I've got a RAID enclosure i'm currently using as JBOD with a 750GB and a 250GB, but would like to move the 750GB into my MP box and put another 250 in the the RAID enclosure and set them up as RAID 1 for Video editing.

my question is: do the brands/models of drives in RAID have to be EXACTLY the same, or just the same capacity? I currently have a seagate 7200.10 250GB drive.

Brands and Model number don't have to be the same.

As long as you have 2 x 250GB Hard Drives the RAID Array will work just fine.
