Quick Q: Time Machine Dissimilar Hardware Restore

I'd like to restore a backup made with TM on a Macbook onto a Pro. Will a Time Machine-based restore work without issues?
 
It should if you just want to restore your apps, documents and media. Then again, the hardware is not that dissimilar between the MacBook/Pro.
