I put an alias of the movie folder from the external into my movie folder on my hard drive and voila!

Make an Alias of your external and put it in your Movies folder. Front Row will see the Alias and link you to your movies.
EDIT: Damn beat to the punch.

im curious - does making an alias take up space on your computer - thus, defeating the purpose of an external hard-drive?

It was 640K, and Bill Gates never said that, or any Bill for that matter.

And George Washington never actually said, "father, I cannot tell a lie. I chopped down the cherry tree." But two hundred years from now, people will still be attributing this one to Bill Gates.
