iPod touch Quick Question about charging Ipod Touch

Can the Touch be charged using the supplied cable from a Windows PC that is not running Itunes?

Sorry if this is a daft question but with Apple better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks Guys, Just planning of taking it to work and charge it there when I get one but as it is a company machine I wouldn't want to put Itunes on it.
