Quick question about clearing the memory.

Hello, I hope I posted this in the right place. I just sold my macbook on ebay and I want to make sure all of my stuff is deleted off of it. What is the best way to do this. Thanks.

reinstall the OS with the discs that were included when you bought it. select "erase and install".

Only semi-correct.

If you want to be secure about it, boot up from the system disc that came with your Macbook. Get into Disk Utility > Erase > Security Options.

Make sure to zero out the drive. Doing several passes is going to take a while, so I suggest leaving it on overnight.
