i have connected to my university on my own laptop using the student link thing and im going to order my 15 mbp... will they want proof that i am a student (which possibly might delay things) through email or whatever, or will they just process the order?

Cheers

When buying online being on the uni network/via a VPN is the evidence. Apple do check by phoning/emailing a small percentage of people later and asking to scan and email a copy of their student card, but as I say that is a small percentage of random checks.

Note as you UK and buying online you get 3 years warranty as standard! Similar to Applecare, but not quite the same.

From my experience they do just process it but as has been mentioned they may ask to prove with the form of a student ID later, this happened to me a few years ago when I bought my first MacBook Pro.

Also, please take the link down. :)
