Quick question about political messages in avatars and signatures

I've been away for a long while, but I do recall that politics were not allowed on the forums, unless it was in the specific sub-forum.

Are political avatars and signatures ok? I have no intention of doing such things, but I saw a user with an avatar that said "Vote XXXXXXXXXX" and the signature said "Vote XXXXXXX. Make the XXs cry. blah blah blah" posting away happily in the technical sections of this forum.

I see @C DM pointed you the right direction. We do in general allow them, but if you see one you think goes too far, please report it and we will take a look.
