Quick question about powerbook g4 Ram.

My PB G4 has 1.5Gb RAM and I was wondering the following.

On my mini, apple says that the max ram is 2gb (I got the 1.83 mini) when in reality it takes up to 3gb (thats what i have running now).
Is this the same case with the Powerbook? can it take more than 2gb?

I got the 15' PB 1.67
