Will it make any difference if I use same type of ram but different brand? I am currently using 2.5gb in my macbook (512 stock ram, 2 gb crucial ram) and I want to add extra 2 gb. I am between purchasing ram from samsung or kingston. Which one will you guy recommend me.

it doesnt matter what brand your ram is as far as compatibility goes, personally i use kingston, and i have never had a problem

you should notice a big difference with an extra 1.5gb

    Macbook can do 4GB?

Im looking into getting a Macbook, but I read it can only use up to 2GB on apple's support site somewhere. Can it use 4GB?

Which model MacBook do you have? If its got a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo as suggested in your sig, then 3GB is the max it'll support.

A friend of mine just sold me 1gb stick at 10 bucks (Now I have 3) I know my macbook would only support up to 3.3 gb (even if it says 4) Will the extra 300 mb worth the money to get a 2gb stick on it?

Yeah, unless you're going to be doing a lot of multitasking, I wouldn't really waste the money on getting a 2 gigabyte stick.
