My iPad 3 seems to have gotten some dead pixels. There are 2 very distinct lines on opposite sides of the screen that stretch all the way from the top to the bottom when holding it landscape. What is the policy on returning my current iPad for another? I don't have apple care+, but I have owned it for under 6 months and originally bought it new from the apple wesbite.

They only truly bother me when on a white/light colored background, because they produce a rainbow effect. I dealt with a single line for a month, but the 2nd line just appeared today. If I can get a free/very cheap replacement, i'll return it. But if it's gonna cost $50+, I can live with it, especially seeing as how the nearest apple store is a good hour drive away.

How much would a replacement cost?
