Quick Question - buying online, payment taken?- when

Just wanting to know if I buy from Apple online, do they take money immediately or when they dispatch goods (in my case, the 13" macbook pro).

I asked on the live chat thing at the apple store online and got the reply that they 'normally' take payment on dispatch...

not that reassuring.

Anyone know ?

I'd assume it's like any other ordering system with a credit card...the company places a hold against the funds on your card, then actually take them from your remaining balance once your product leaves. Just a guess though.

They authorize and put a hold on your card; then at shipping it's charged.
