So I clicked on iChat, and the window poped up and it only give me the option to continue, so I click continue and then I need to set up and all that. But I don't have a .Mac account or anything like that...I thought it was asking to create one so I just put whatever and clicked continue but now it just says contacting .Mac server...and I can't find a way to close the window.

The Command button is the one to the left and right of the space bar. option is in between the control key in the bottom left corner of the keyboard. and escape is all the way in the upper left. Press them all at the same time to open the force quit window. select the application you want to force quit in the window and click force quit.
