What firmware does iPod touch 4g currently ship with?

Is there a chance that the last batch(Late september/early October) of new iPod touch 4g could ship with iOS 5 or will it only be iPod Touch 5g that will ship with iOS 5?

Touches will continue to ship with 4.x.x until iOS5 gets released.

They would release the official version of iOS 5 before implementing it on new devices. iOS 5 is still currently undergoing beta testing

Yes. Once iOS 5 is released, iPod touch 4s will begin shipping with iOS 5 preloaded. In some cases, the GM seed is put onto the devices before being shipped.
