If I purchase the new Macbook the online Apple Store, am I able to take it to my local Apple (retail) Store for returns or exchanges?

For example, if there is multiple dead pixels on my Macbook, do I have to ship back to Apple for a replacement, or can I simply return to my local Apple Store?

I'm from Canada, if this matters.

If you customized the order from the online store, i.e. picked a better processor, added RAM, the replacement will have to be processed through Apple Sales Support to make sure you get a system back with the same specifications. If its not customized, you can probably arrange to have a replacement ready at the local store through AppleCare so you can swap it out on the spot. And of course anything bought in-store won't be customized anyway so you could swap it out at the store itself.
