iPod touch quick question!

It will be packaged today, but will not ship out until Monday. FedEx doesn't ship on the weekends. The shipping, if you chose the free one, will take about 5 days. The shipping time frame was said during your purchase.
It depends on whether it left the Apple warehouse today or not. If Fedex picked it up today, I think you should have it on Monday or Tuesday, assuming it is coming from a warehouse in California. If not, then you are probably looking at Tuesday - Thursday. I could very well be wrong, these are just estimates based on my own experiences.
I am just curious, but why would you order an iPod online from Apple.com if you live in California? You don't get to avoid sales tax, and there are lots of Apple stores in California. You could have had it today and payed the same price if you just went to an Apple retail store.

I talked to the Apple customer service via the chat on the site yesterday. He said if you order it Friday it will ship out Monday. FedEx still can ship and stuff, but I do not think they pick up all shipments from Apple until Monday.

As for the dates you gave, don't you mean: Ships by: Jul 18 - Jul 21
Delivers by: Jul 22 - Jul 25? Seems like you cut off the extra 6 days.
I believe you are a step ahead of me. Fine by me though, I will be on vacation until Thursday and glad it wont be on my front door, although they requite a signature. Hmm, this worries me now. Now I see when I ordered my classic it only took 4 days to get here. I will be on vacation longer than that so I hope no one messes with my doortag number.

well actually i didnt look this up on apple. it said this on FedEx tracking.

Well with everything I have ever ordered online with a tracking number it has came the day it said. I have yet to be lucky and receive something ahead of time. But there should be no reason for them to hold it, so you should get it if it is ahead of schedule. But I bet it will come the expected date.
The classic I mentioned above was an 80GB. At the time I thought it was soo cool and I was going to have tons of movies on it. Then I realized I never watched movies and always listened to music and also wanted more features like the web browser and AIM. So I sold it to my brother and ordered the 8GB Touch refurb. On my 80GB I only had 3GB of media and it was only music. So, this will be fine.
Raider, I just received my shipment notification moments ago. Mine says the same dates as you. Much like my ipod classic I expect it to ship from Southern California. Bad part is I wont be home until the 24th and this is coming the 22nd. Although a signature is require the FedEx people here usually do the 'Throw and Go' on signature required items.
