my dad's iPhone 3g just came in.

but umm...how do I activate it?...I thought you could do it on the computer...
 
You may be able to just connect it to the computer and iTunes will walk you through the steps. However, you may have have to take it to an at&t store, if they haven't released the ability to activate over iTunes in the US yet.
