Just have some quick questions. My friend and I recently bought two iPhone 3G's on June 10th (he couldn't wait). I've been trying to swap mine out for the 3GS before the 30 days are up but AT&T is telling me they're only doing pre orders now. Would I have to pre order at the store or could I just go swap one out at an apple store?

It seems both of you couldn't wait lol.

You can return the 3G, pay the restocking fee. Go locate an Apple store that has them in stock using this, then buy the 3GS when you walk in.

Though I'm concerned about AT&T's return policy so you might want to ask/call them first.

They allowed it :) the rep refunded my money minus 10% restocking fee. I asked if I could just go down to an apple store and get a 3gs, he told me yes and that I wouldn't have to renew anything. I have to drive all the way to Sacramento and was wondering if I still needed the primary account holder even though I'm not renewing anything? I've called apple but I'm getting different answers...
