Quick question

I jailbreaked my iPhone the other day but cydia suddently stopped working after downloading some apps. I've read some of the solutions online but they all look very complicated and seems to be no easy solution. However, now i understand that the 3.1.2 can now be jailbreaken and is very very simple to do so. Would I be better resetting phone totally, downloading 3.1.2 and jus jailbreaking it??

Cydia is getting hit hard due to recent JB tool release, so many are having some errors.
