Hey All. I am about to update the Ram on an old iMac, I have 2 quick questions:

*I purchased the RAM (memory) from Amazon.com and it said specifically for iMac. However, on the package it says for MacBook and MacBook Pro. It doesn't make a difference right? And If I put that in the iMac will it screw the iMac up?

*Last, I only purchased 1 RAM thing. In every video I have seen, people purchase two and put the new ones in each slot. Can I just put one in there and leave the other one?

The iMac and MBPs use the same RAM.

It's better to install matched pairs, but not absolutely necessary.
