When I hold a message to go to quick reply, sometimes there are really old messages still in the box. Messages from days ago. Sometimes even showing two sets of little dots that the person is replying. Any idea how to fix this?

I get that as well....suspect a full restore would fix it but its not a big enough issue for me to bother doing it as yet.

I agree, I didnt want to do a full restore for something like that. Didnt know if it was a bug and if there was a quick fix or not.

Potentially is a bug although i'm on the latest iOS and still get it occasionally so would have to see if it gets fixed in whatever comes next.

I have had this since 10.0 beta 1 on my 6S plus. Tried doing a clean restore with 10.0 final and also set my 7 up as new when I got it. In both cases, this bug came back after a while as more text messages built up. I think it might be related to points in the conversation where an iMessage failed to send and had to be sent as a text message. But, I'm not sure. It's just one in the long list of unresolved iOS 10 bugs. I usually just reboot the phone whenever it happens.
