I dont know if vBulletin has the capabilities but maybe a quick reply feature so you can just type in your text at the bottom of the page in a little textbox and press submit. Of course, if any graphics or links or special text were involved you would have to use the real input box.

vB3 does have this feature (and I think it is almost as simple as clicking a box in the Admin CP), however, many forums have it turned off because it encourages spamming, since it is very easy to reply to a message.

arn has this feature turned off to discourage spamming and short, 1-word replies that just boost post counts and not actually contribute.

I think Quick Reply can be a good feature...
and mods can watch for users who are abusing it.

The mods work really hard as it is. You don't want to add to their workload. They don't get paid, see. They do this because-- well, they may not like you, but they like some of us. :D So the Quick Reply stays off until:

1) Someone pays the mods
2) Someone shoots the spammers
3) Someone pays for the mod's firearms

And honestly, does it really take that long to click on the New Reply button? Safari and FireFox load it in like, <1 second...
