I think I have this right in my head, but i'd rather find out without having to open stuff up...

My 12" PB G4 1.5 has 512MB of RAM. What does this mean in terms of free slots and what's used? I think I'm right in saying the 12" PB has one user serviceable slot, and another with some non-replaceable memory in?

Cheers!

"512MB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM running at 333MHz; one SO-DIMM slot; support for up to 1.25GB"

THis means there is 256 Mb soldered-on, and one socket, which can fit a 1 Gb SODIMM for 1.25 Gb max. THe 512 Mb configuration consists of 256 soldered-on plus a 256 Mb SODIMM that you have to remove in order to upgrade.

The other easy way to find out is to go to the Apple Store and configure a machine. It will show you

"512MB DDR333 (256MB built-in + 256MB SO-DIMM)"
