Having to load up System Preferences, then go to Displays, then drag the Dock is tedious and can be time consuming when Systems Preferences beach balls.

So what I'd rather have is a keyboard shortcut that'll switch the Dock between my two monitors. Is there such an application that'll do this?

Easier way: Right-click the Dock divider (that part that looks like a crosswalk) and choose the Dock position you want. It's also in the Apple menu.

EDIT: Actually, it sounds more like you're trying to choose which display is primary (moving the Dock and Menubar to that screen). I don't know of a quicker way to do that.

For a different approach you might give second bar a try. I don't use it so can't really give a recommendation, but I have seen it discussed on this board before. The developer does say that it is alpha-quality, so you will see bugs.
