I am trying to export transactions for a date range in Quicken 7 into a new file. I get up to choosing the export data. I have trouble with importing the information. The data keeps turning up in an existing account and not a new account. What steps do I take to import to a new file?

I'm new to the MAC and Quicken for MAC is very different from Quicken for PC.

Thanks

Quicken 7 will not import files anymore. Quicken chat pointed me to their "purchase" page for Quicken 2010. I am terribly disappointed with Quicken for Mac. Can't even create a report that can be used for tax purposes. The software is pathetic.

Quicken for mac sucks. I run parallels just to use Quicken PC.

So, does that mean you need to buy antivirus software, etc. just so that you can run Quicken PC? I'm debating between buying a cheap pc just to run Quicken PC or run parallels. I'll check out the other posts for Parallels advantages/disadvantages. Maybe there's an alternate Quicken-like program for Macs that will import Quicken data.

Most anitvirus software is free these days.

But I don't even install it for the pc because i never surf or downloand email on the pc parallels. i've run a pc for 10 years without antivirus and never had a problem. just don't surf in the "black" internet (porn), don't open attachments, and there will be no problems.
