Welcome.

1. if its an application launcher then why is it better than spotlight?

1. It's considerably faster.
2. It remembers your past searches, so if you typed "pho" and Photoshop was third on the list forcing you to arrow down, it'll appear at the top next time.
3. You can map keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures (via the Abracadabra plugin) to any action.
4. It's extensible.

2. what kind of things do you do with quicksilver?, i know that it can control itune and stuff but cant you use your keyboard to do that by pressing f8, f9 you know what i mean right.

Again, it's extensible. Among other things:
• find contacts in your address book and open a new email message
• perform simple calculations without opening another application
• open any folder in the command line
• upload a file using Cyberduck or Transmit
• find a dictionary definition
• open a Safari/Firefox bookmark
• and my favourite: find and play any track in iTunes, browsing by artist/album/genre

3. why is every say that the application is so good> if so what kind of things do you do with quicksilver be specific plzzz. thanks for all your answer maclover:D

I'm pretty sure I answered that already. It's free. Find out for yourself.
