I have had a look at both of these apps and wondered if there was one better than the other. Does anyone have a preference over the two and if so, why?

I've not used Launchbar but QS is one of the best (if not the best) applications on Mac. Its also free.

Don't be fooled into thinking QS is just a launcher either, it does SO much more. So, so, so, so, so, so much more.

I have used both. If you are the type of user that likes to tinker and tweak your software, you will like QS. If you just want to install at default config and use it as is with no tinkering, you will prefer LB.

I prefer LB and find it more stable.

Can someone explain what Quicksilver is? I mean I know you can launch apps with it, but what else cause I don't get why people rave about it
