I know I need Quicktime Pro, the question is this ..

I have Snow Leopard on my MBP.

Installed is Quicktime Player 10, and Flip4Mac to allow playback of Windows Media files.

Those files play fine, but I want to import them into iTune for use on the iPhone.

I cannot seem to locate Quicktime Pro 10, but I see QT Pro 7.

Am I to assume there is no QT Pro 10 and I should just buy QT Pro 7 ???

Will this in any way affect the QT Player 10 / Flip4Mac install???

Thanks for any help offered 😀

The latest version of Quicktime Pro is 7.

You can have QT Pro 7 and QT X on your system at the same time.

Thanks I guess that was the main question, could they coexist.

In the mean time I got Handbrake to do what I want, though I am gonna give QT Pro a closer look.

Has anyone had success using Quicktime X to convert files? I see to hang in the last mile. It will say completion in 5 seconds but I've waited probably 5 minutes. Haven't had one single successful conversion yet and wondered why that is.
