Anyone else notice that that version of Quicktime is still copywrited in 2001??? I do have to give them that the Player is copywrite 2002 and maybe the player and the extension were made given copywrite in different years since we are so close to the start of 2002 as far as software development is concerned but there is really nothing in that shot that suggest that it is a genuine copy of V6 and something that would actually be worth the download time seeing. Realistically, I got nothing at all out of seeing a picture of a guys screen that looks just like mine except he has 6's where I have 5.02s.

This is a different version than what was posted ealier on theMox.com. Not only was copyright 2002, but it was a public preview and the QT6 logo icon thingy was different. What does it mean?

This is from theMox website

Looks more like someone has used something like ResEdit to change the 5s to 6s and said it is V6

well, i've installed qt6. It hasn't wiped my hard drive or anything, yet :)

Whilst the MPEG-1 playback is vastly improved, MPEG-2 still won't play, and divx files still need 'fixing'.

Export has a couple more options in it.

Other than that, i can't see many changes. Now if only i had some MPEG-4 content to try out ;)

you can probably find it on most P2P programs by now. I found it on carracho.

I'm probably going to go back to 5.0.2 though, the codecs seem to work better with that.
