Quicktime Framework not working

Hello Guys,

I'm new to this forum, but I hope that somebody can help me.

My problem is, that the quick-time framework or a part of the framework is not working.

I can see this at several points:

- I have no sound: I have change the volume on my keyboard, I can't hear anything
(There is no sound which says, that I changed the volume)

- When I try to open iTunes, I get the following error:
"The iTunes application could not be opened. An
unknown error occured (-200)"

- If have no sound with the VLC-Media player, too.

- When I try to open an apple video eg. http://www.apple.com/imac/the-new-imac/#medium
Safari crashes with the following trace:

I have no idea how to solve this problem and I don't know how the quicktime-frame work is initialized.

• Which version QuickTime?
• Any haxies installed?

Do you have QuickTime 7 installed?

No, I have Quicktime X, which came along with Snow Leopard.
