QuickTime Player crashes

[FloridaMacGirl]

My iMovie crashes when trying to load ANY movie, AND on a separate note, I can't play any movie files (avi or mov files). When I dbl-click the movie files to open in Quicktime, it just refreshes my Finder window and Quicktime never opens the movie. I also get the same problem when signed on to a different account. Here is the crash log for the Quicktime, hopefully it will solve the iMovie issue as well. Any help will due. BTW, I just upgraded from 10.4.8 to 10.4.9, so please don't ask me to go to 10.4.10, as it will still not solve the issue.

You might want to edit the title of your thread to be more specific.

First thing, try repairing permissions. Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > select your HD and repair disk permissions.

If that fails to solve the problem perhaps throw out your preference files for iMovie and QT

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! repairing the permissions might have actually done it but as it was listing the progress I saw a lot of repairs for iPHOTO but as far as Qtime I CAN SEE!!!!!!
