Hi

In QuickTime Player I rotated *.mp4 (downloaded from dailymotion) to left and tried to export in 480p.

But the export doesn't work. Since 10 minutes there is no progress.

Other way to do the same?

Are there any logs? Howto troubleshoot why this don't work?

Update: tried to do the rotation in iMovies, but in the resulting *.m4v there is no motion pictures (only black). There was already no preview in iMovie during editing.

Thanks simsaladimbamba. Worked fine.

This "MPEG Streamclip" is a complicated piece of software. Is there a manual?

I even had to try and error which option to take for rotation

There's a quick'n'dirty manual in the Help Menu.
It won't really guide you through the program like the old FCP manuals did, but at least it gives some idea what each button/menu does in MPEGSC.
You might need to read up a bit on video technology background, though, to fully understand (I don't know your level of knowledge)

Fröhliche Weihnacht.

in video technology I have zero knowledge, but I will learn fast, because I am experienced in other IT products.

I would be very interested in a vendor neutral introduction to video technology. Please recommend me a book.

Fröhliche Weihnacht.

das gleiche wünsche ich dir und deiner Familie auch.

I couldn't recommend a book out of the hollow of my head right now, but a good starting point is the wiki entry on digital video. Follow the links and you have a lot of reading pleasure over the holidays.

Die Familie sagt Danke!
