Okay so I heard Quicktime 6.1 is out and I picked it up and everything is fine untill I start to open files.
First it is find, opens plays, little slow, whatever. Next one opens doesn't plays, okay I'll quit. I quit and restart then I open a QT file and Poof, quicktime opens shows the first frame but has a Big white box around it. I can't go to the menu bar while in QT.
So I say, weird... then I go to force quit. Nothing. I go to force quit again, nada, I open force quit from the Apple menu, opens. Click to quit QT, Nothing. Open it again, nothing.
Whenever I'm in QT I get the spinning beachball and nothing happens.

What is the problem people?

Not sure... I'd suggest looking at Apple's discussions forums (support.apple.com) to see if other people are having similar problems.

Before that you could try trashing the pref file

/username/Library/Preferences/QuickTime Preferences
/username/Library/Preferences/QuicktimeFavorites
/username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Quicktime Player.plist
