Quicktime still playing audio after quitting playing

Sometimes I'll play a video file in Quicktime and then Command Q to quit it, however sometimes I find that the audio is still playing in the background. I am up to date with software and I'm on a MBP 2010. Anyone else have this problem?

its a setting in iTunes by the sounds of it.. the audio is still playing in that app..
