Is there any way to save the 720p stream? I would love to have a higher quality video than the iTunes podcast. (And no, VLC can't really save RTSP streams.)

The first one is linked on Apple's website, the second has no traffic because it's not. I just found it.
 
If you have Quicktime Pro, just go to File > Export.

I'm in the process of doing that right now. Though be warned, it'll be a long, slow process.
 
Doesn't seem to work. It just takes about 5 seconds and outputs a 2kb file with no audio or video. Also, the "sound" option of the QT export settings is disabled. Did it work for you?
