QuickTime Update - Resolves iChat Issues?

Haven't seen this posted in the news section yet...

QuickTime 7.5.5 includes an H.264 compatibility update that is supposed to address issues with iChat.

Anyone know in particular what this update does? I'm hoping it improves reliability of iChat video chats. When I try to video chat with my parents, about half the time we can't video chat because of the infamous "user did not respond" error.

^ will this screw up iMovie capture with iSight? I just got it working with a fresh install of Leopar, don't want ot do that again...

Will this affect any windows programs becasue I wont get it if it will affect windows programs
