So I recently updated to Ventura os 13.3 and now Quicktime won't open mp4 or mov files off of an SD card that I use in my drone. Before updating I could open up all files with no issues. I also got a new drone (Mavic 3) so now I'm not really sure if it's an issue with that or the Mac OS. The error message reads " The file could not be opened, the file isn't compatible with QuickTime"

I understand Quicktime isn't the only media player but it is the most convenient. Are there any players that will play by default on Mac without importing the media files into it first then playing them?

Any help would be great thanks

Nevermind I fixed it. I guess the new Quicktime doesn't like h.264 codec. I formatted the card inside the drone to H.265 and we're goodie
