Keep your own biased bullcrap to yourself. You don't like this stuff, don't post on it. We're here to discuss not bash other people for their choice in timepiece or phone size.

Human beings....

Seems pretty common around here. "If it doesn't fit my preferences or needs it is stupid or pointless!"

Posters like that are what drives me away from here sometimes.

I posted numerous time in these forums pictures with thin metal Casio touch screen watches. If they managed to make them this thinner in the '80s - so 25, 30 years ago - with more functions than a calculator- of course one would expect the technology to be much more advanced 30 years later.
They had a schedule, notepad because the screen was pixel based so it could show texts and others, and with years of battery

Or maybe Casio was that much ahead of times and had wizardry technology in 1980 with their touch screen watches.

But I guess with some effort Apple could of made a thinner and longer battery watch with the same or almost the same amount of functions, but they would of had to sacrifice some fluidity of motion animations or something because they would have used a lower power gpu/cpu.

I cannot get over the stupid, moronic, crazy, bizarre attempts at logic in this thread.

The Original Poster using weird theories to try and justify something.

Let's TRY and be sensible shall we, if that's possible.

The Apple watch is as thin/thick as they could make it given what they placed inside the device.
.......

A mechanical watch has no reason to be thick to function, other than it has DELIBERATELY been made thick for style/fashion.

Please provide the thickness in millimeters before going on a tirade.

Exactly, like most things that are not made for fashion, like a THICK mechanical watch.
The Apple watch is a engineering compromise

They could of made it bigger/fatter and made it technically better.
They could of made it smaller/thinner and made it technically worse.

They had to decide how BIG they could realistically 'get away with' and get as much as they could into that space.

Same with the iPad and iPhone.

I would guess they may do 1 BIG shrink at some point, and then hold it there size wise, as it's then a happy size, and over the following years, be able to pack more nice things inside the shrunk space.

This is getting to be the norm on the entire internet. "My opinion is superior and anything you say is POS."

I have no problem with calling out someone when they are distorting the truth (whether lying or simply "it depends upon what 'is' is"). But this penchant for calling Apple fans morons or idiots; those choosing Sport over Watch as cheap-a$$ dummies; "Fandroids" as a perjorative; you name it, it is all insane and getting beyond ridiculous.

Maybe the trolls are just getting to me. We need a simple, easy to use anti-BS symbolic response to all such behavior - no need to respond, just post this - something along the line of a Smiley based on this:

Idiots that have never worn a watch are the one that would consider the Apple watch to be thick.
